Open Evenings

As part of the Transition process, in the Summer Term prior to your child starting secondary school, there will be an invitation for parents to visit the school to meet the staff who will be directly involved with your child during the transition period.

The school will also be able to show you examples of the uniform, the planners which pupils will be given to receive and record information and you will have the opportunity to discuss any basic skills interventions that may be appropriate for your child.

Every year in the Autumn Term the school also holds an open evening for all pupils in Years 5 & 6 in the Feeder Primary schools and for any students in Pembrokeshire who might be interested in coming to Ysgol Dewi Sant even if they live outside the catchment area. The evening is an opportunity for parents and students to visit the school, meet the staff and students, view the facilities and find out more about the School’s outstanding achievements and plans.

Details of future open evenings and transition events for the 2017/2018 Academic year will be posted here.
