The Curriculum

The Curriculum is designed to offer a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated programmes of study for all students and accords with the present requirements of the National Curriculum and Local Education Authority policy guidelines.

Years 7, 8 and 9 – Key Stage 3 (KS3)

All students study the subjects listed below:

Years 10 and 11 – Key Stage 4 (KS4)

All students study a ‘core’ of subjects:

Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification
Science
Welsh

In addition, students are able to choose three of the following subjects:

Years 12 and 13 – Key Stage 5 (KS5)

The school offers a wide range of academic courses in the Sixth Form through the Federation of Pembrokeshire College.

There is a ‘core’ curriculum which all students are expected to study. This is part of the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification.

At A/S and A2 level, the following subjects are currently offered through the Federation, subject to sufficient demand:

Accommodation for the Sixth Form includes a study room and a Sixth Form Common Room. A separate prospectus is issued to Year 11 students interested in applying to enter the Sixth Form.
