Welcome to Ysgol Dewi Sant

We hope that you will find this website interesting and informative.

We are proud of the achievements of our students in all areas – academic, cultural and sporting.  The school is a caring community in which each individual is valued.  We seek to maximise the potential of all of our students and to prepare them to take their place as responsible adults in society.

Headteacher’s Welcome

D Haynes

“Ysgol Dewi Sant is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school which strives to meet the needs of our children of all abilities and talents. We serve the communities of the St Davids peninsula although families choose to send their children to us from all over Pembrokeshire including Pembroke Dock, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Fishguard,Goodwick and Newport in the north.
The ambition of the school is to be the best in Wales and we hope this will be achieved by the dynamic atmosphere throughout the school which aids in fostering a creative, intellectual and social confidence in all pupils. In addition to providing a high quality learning experience, all children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of cultural, musical, sporting and extra-curricular activities. Visitors to our school are impressed by the atmosphere that greets them and often comment on our pupils who are articulate, courteous, and proud of the role they play within the community.
There are strong links between the children of the city and the Cathedral dating back to the 12th century and many of our current students benefit from the training and tuition they receive as choristers in the cathedral choirs. The school council play an important role in the community by attending City Council meetings, Lesotho group events as well as helping to shape school policy such as teaching and learning.

Thank you for visiting our website. I am delighted to introduce our school to you.”
